A mate at work needs a small piece of brightwork from his bike
re-chromed - can anyone recommend anywhere?

I'm also interested cos I've got a pair of fork tubes (from the
'spare' set of forks I'm re-furb'ing for the turbo) that could do with
new chrome too.

Is is for a Gilera DNA? In which case, he can just drop it off at the
chromer's 'ome.

Vehicle and General Polishers and Platers.

Not really local, but excellent quality. Not cheap either. I have loads
done there over the years and it has lasted very well.

Your average decorative chrome platers don't do fork legs. That's a
specialist job for an industrial hard chromers, the type of people who
do JCB rams and suchlike.

There's a place in Newark, Notts who do a very good service but it's
never cheap. Have you considered new stanchions, sometimes it's
cheaper? ABE in Greenwich seem to be the most reasonable costwise, and
they'll make them to spec if needed.

Wouldn't bother: it's gone to all 'elle.

Ah yes, sorry I didn't read all the thread.

Interesting, how did that tool work?

Oh, you cunt.
That would be a double-cross, that would.

As others have said Sir will need hard chroming for the forks. This lot
might do it (I drive past on the way home rom "work" a couple of times a
week), but I don't know if they do small one-off jobs.
