The Chinese motorcycle target market is the 3rd world. The US is an
afterthought. If they build with enough quality they will price
themselves out of the reach of their target customers satchel of
Lumpira, peso, rupees whatever.
The Japanese should be worried though. They are getting squeezed by
the European manufacturers at the high end and the chinese at the
bottom end. What will happen though is what is already happening.
The Japanese will outsource the manufacturing of all cheap bikes to
Thailand, and the like. Their parts chain reliability will retain
customer loyalty. I chose a Yamaha Zuma over any other off brand
scooter for this reason. I luv Yamaha.
