Hey guys, I bought a BBR rear shock spring for the wife's CRF 100. How do I
remove the spring from the shock so I can install the BBR ? This is on an
06 model.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure about your shock, but on most shocks, follow this
procedure. Do it on a vise.

1. Unload spring tension by screwing spring tension adjuster ring up
and away from the shock spring. If there is a lock ring/nut, make
sure to unlock it's tension and screwing it up (back away from the
spring) first.
2. When the spring has lost most of it's tension, fit a large
screwdriver through the opening in the spacer under the spring, and
lift/compress the spring. Then lift out the spacer. The slot is to
let the washer slide off the shock shaft.
3.The shock spring will now slide off the bottom of the shock.

You're welcome.

Thanks Wudsracer. This shock has no spring tension adjuster rings, which is
what has me confused. Have you ever seen a shock without the adjuster ring
and lockring? I wonder if I need a spring compresser ?
TIA

Yup.My KLX110. I had to put it in the press with a home made spring
holding thing-a-majiggy.
