Aside from drilling them out, what is the best way to remove bolts ? (mostly
around the exhaust area, so they are hard to get to).

Ive tried using penetrate (like WD40) to get in, giving the bolts a quick
tap, but that hasnt worked.

Ive also been suggest heating up the bolt.

any suggestions ?

Get an impact driver. You can buy them pretty cheap in the usual cheap
tools places. more WD40, and a big hammer...

If that doesn't work, then heat might, but I've never had it work that
well.

IF still no go, give up and get it to a pro. They have even bigger
hammers! Not a usual dealership type, but a wrecker of old abused
bikes.

try to tighten the bolt before trying to undo it
sometimes this will get it off

Don't heat the bolt...heat the surrounding area and use plenty of WD40 (allow to soak).
Otherwise use a socket with an extension of about 12-15 inches and crack that mofo.

....and then reach for your drill and tap-and-die set when you twist
the head clean off the bolt. Wink

Try a spanner or socket.

It just came to me today, Patrick. Very witty Wilde. Had me pissing myself
laughing riding home in traffic.

- This is the odd one out...it's from Star Trek The Undiscovered Country. The last thing that Kirk says.
