If you are a member of the AMA and live in the AMA North Central Region 3
(includes Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, North
Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska), please consider nominating James
Viverito (from Chicago) to the AMA Board of Directors for Region 3. Jim is
the president of the Chicago Chapter of ABATE of Illinois and a personal
friend of mine. He has dedicated a huge portion of his life to motorcycles
and motorcycle issues. He will help bring needed changes to the AMA and
help bring them back to fighting for Motorcyclists Rights instead of
supporting the manufacturers agendas like they currently do. Jim has been
riding for what seems like forever both on and off-road. He truly cares
about the motorcycle community and is dedicated to protecting our freedoms
on two wheels for generations to come. His letter of intent can be viewed
at
http://www.abate-il.org/chicago/amaletter.htm.
The nomination ballots are in this months issue of The Motorcyclist, the AMA
magazine that you should have already received. If we are successful in
getting enough nominations and get Jim Viverito on the ballot, voting will
happen in the December 2003 / January 2004 timeframe.
So, if you live in the AMA North Central Region 3 or know people who do and
are members of the AMA, please nominate James Viverito (from Chicago) for
the Board of Directors of the AMA. There are serious times ahead in the
motorcycling community and we need serious leadership to help guide the way.
Jim Viverito is one person who can help guide the way. Please nominate him
to the AMA board.
Ride safe,
The Bulldog...
