In Devon in the UK an 85 YO rider has died after
losing control of his bike. It was a Honda, model not mentioned.

Well if one has to make a big mistake on a bike...
there are worse times to do it than when one is 85.

I guess many 85 year olds would be proud of themselves to be able to ride a
motorcycle at that age and I guess this poor ol bloke died in silent glory
in what he loved doing most in life.
85 years of age is a pretty good innings i reckon...beats rotting in a
nursing home. RIP fella !

if I died ( has to be very quickly ) in my 60's on a bike doing what I love
( and not shagging a female on my bike and having a heart attack) would see
me die a happy man

btw: on 2nd thoughts ...shagging a gorgeous female on the bike would see me
suffering from a "Case of the Smiling Stiffs"

Probably bored to death by the boring characteristics of a Honda......
i.e. it just works.

I did find it interesting that, fairly recently, I attended a funeral
for a bike riding friend, and it struck me that I really should start
riding about _much_ faster than I currently do.

At my present typical speed, I'd possibly survive a serious mis-cue,
and, to maintain hopes for a clean-cut ending, I'd have to speed up my
ideas more than a little.

regards,
CrazyCam

Well, I know a couple of 80-odd yo folk who might well fit into that
scenario.

Personally, <sigh> I'll settle for riding faster.
