Well he's been saying it hasn't been that great in the 5 days or so of
testing so far and it's not yet faster than the old bike. But it's early
days.
But that's not really the point. It just looks really ugly from where
I'm sitting. And yeah, I thought last year's bike looked pretty ugly
too. If anything the 2008 bike looks even more like it's got bits of
plastic stuck on with superglue.

Seems like his opinion so far is quite positive, saying the fundamental
balance of the bike and the sizing is a much better place to be starting
than where they were a year ago. And the motor is headed in the right
direction, with the level of power they were at at the end of the year
and then the switch to air valves. Not surprising that they wouldn't be
nearly up to speed yet relative to the older bike; look at where the
Brno bike was in early February of 2006 compared to the 2005 evo bike.

They seem to still be working that stuff out, look at the pieces on the
sides of the two bikes behind the main fairing lowers - they look
completely different on the Hayden and Pedrosa machines, or perhaps
there's just a piece missing from the Pedrosa bike. When you don't have
a full slab-sided fairing, things are going to look patchy - think
mid-80s sportbikes. What really seems different on this year's bike are
the exhausts, tucked away out of sight last year and much longer with
very prominent silencers this year. Personally, I like the look of this
new bike better than last year's machine. >> Stay informed about: 2008 Honda |

If one is absolutely blind to content, totally lacking in the
understanding that this group is supposed to be about discussion of
matters related to motorcycle racing and not just throwing shots at
people who do understand that, I suppose so. Particularly if one's
notion of the group is just another place to exercise Europheliac
tendencies... >> Stay informed about: 2008 Honda |

Thanks for bringing something obvious (or should I say, nothing) to the

Gasp, I actually did what you do in 95% of your posts! Oh how can I ever
be forgiven?
You're the one who started the pissing match, ya cunt. But that's hardly
unusual for you, is it? You've pretty much become the west-of-the-pond

around here? >> Stay informed about: 2008 Honda |
