| KX310 big bore opinions? - I am thinking about going with the Eric Gorr KX310 big bore kit on my 96 KX250 when I do the top end later this year. Going rate is $525. I am looking for more low to mid power for vet MX and trail riding. Anybody have any opinions on this set up??
When the woods open up - I was out riding in the area this past Sunday. I typically ride really tight trails in the woods, which kind of fits my trials mind set. The guy I was riding with has a new DRZ400 with a gas tank, so it's not the best machine..
2nd bike for woods? - Or am I being a wuss. You tell me. Just started dirt biking after years and years of street and lots of track days. Thanks to for taking me out on my 1st ride last year and letting me crash his GasGas. Are you around? Anyhow I've been..

I am posting this for a friend.
Reggie did the latest engine work on this bike for Chris.
He rode it 10 days ago (at Breezy Hills), and told me it was very
strong and smooth.
You might know Chris if you've come to the Wudi rides.

2002 KX250 with an Eric Gorr/Maxpower 310cc kit.
The power is similar to a KTM or GasGas 300. Nice smooth bottom end
and plenty of torque. More goodies below:
Revalved suspension for woods w/an Ohlins shock
Both IMS 3.2 gal tank and stock tank
Tall Soft seat
Tall Tag bars w/ Moose Handguards
Scott's steering Damper post and bar clamp mount
(The Damper it self is not for sale)
FMF Gnarly pipe w/Turbine Core II spark arrestor
Pipe guard
Steahly Off Road flywheel weight
Devol rear rotor guard
Devol Skid Plate
New clutch basket, disks, plates, hub, and cable
Just installed a new set of rings
Just rebuilt the bottom end
Suspension has about 15 hrs on it
All linkage and swingarm bearings just cleaned and lubed.
I put about 20 miles on it last weekend just to break it in make
sure it was good to go. It is dialed in and ready for action. Just
set the sag, adjust bars and levers, then go. Great Vet class bike
or Open class bike. Really goes well versus the 4 strokes in the
woods.
$2000
I will be taking pics of it soon, so if you contact me by email, I
will be able to send some current pics.
Bike is located in Lafayette, La. Can be delivered to a race or I
can meet up halfway.

Hi David
And it is local to you. You won't have to go far to test ride it.
Reggie said that it was very strong and smooth.
I bet he'd bring it to the mx track where you practice..
We ought to get that pretty '01 XC250 going.
Jim

Frankly, I don't need to ride it based on your comments.
I've been wanting a CR500. I rode one and was pulling 450's. My YZ 250 is
a bit too slow. The 310 sounds perfect - light and simple.
I dred working on my CRF450. After 3 years with no work, I would imagine
something not to pretty is going to happen in the near future.

Check the valve clearances. It's pretty easy on that bike. Pull the
tank and valve cover and everything's right there. >> Stay informed about: FS: 2002 KX310 set up for woods |
