I am a new Harley owner and want to change the oil and transmission fluid. I
can't seem to find the transmission drain plug and the fill hole is not so
obvious either. Trying to find a picture on the internet. The owners manual
is not that clear either. Can anyone help? The oil drain plug looks to be a
5//8 or 3/4 nut facing down just under what seems to be the oil pan. Do I
have that right? Thanks for your patience.

Mark

Why?
No need.
After all, they don't leak or wear out.

You have to drill yer own.
Just get a plasma cutter and light-r-up, if you feel a need to change
the goo.
Plug the whole up with any decent cork and some silicone.

Try alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.

That's because it's made from a solid material.

ANYONE that can't figure out how to change their own oil even after
saying they have an owners manual is a moron!

My '97 FLHTCI uses the 3/4" and I would assume yours does also. There
are two drain plugs close together. Remove the wrong one and you get a
trickle of oil. Remove the correct one and you get a lot of oil.
That's the oil reservoir. Drop by the local Harley dealer and get a
Service Manual and you'll save yourself a lot of expense.

Tranny oil will be very clear as opposed to engine oil with all the
contaminants. Ping me at bill27612 REMOVE at yahoo dot com and I'll
shoot you a couple of .jpegs to use until you get the manual.

You got the drunk part right and most alkies tend to be over weight.

He's a troll and best filtered. He changes his name but a little
creativity in your filtering will put a moat around your castle.

I've been very successful over the last couple of years. The problem
is when he is quoted and you discover he still exists.

Owners manual? You're kidding right. Of course, you need to go out and buy
the Service Manual for your bike. Run don't walk. If you still can't figure
it out, take it to a shop, this ain't yer thing.
