1993 kx 60 rear shock

Post subject: 1993 kx 60 rear shock

My son can hop this bike like a pogo stick.I know the shock is gone is it good to try and rebuild it ,is it worth it.Is there a good aftermarket replacement does anyone have one to sell.Painter

I don't know anything about aftermarket options... I'm sure there are
good ones, but they'll be spendy.

A rebuild of the existing shock should be no problem. Most shops in my
area charge in the neighborhood of $50 for the service, plus the cost
of the new seals. I don't remember off of the top of my head what the
seals cost, but it's not a whole lot.

I took the shock to the dealer ,and they said its not rebuildable .And a new one is over $300 I found one on ebay for $50 that the guy gauranties is like new .Thanks for the reply

Having never looked at a KX60 shock, I don't know, but I'm surprised to
hear that it's not rebuildable.

If the replacement you found for $50 is in good shape, I'd call that a
good deal.

Most shocks are serviceable. Even those that are not designed to be
serviced, usually can be taken care of if the suspension guy knows
how. However, it will cost way more than $50.
