Hi all - I am new to the group and would like to say Hi. I just
purchased a '03
with 2 miles on it. It is a beautiful scooter, I would like to change
the stock exhaust pipes with slip ons. Would the bike need to be
flashed? I am thinking of Screaming Eagles. Any info appreciated.

Thanks!!

Mark

It's ok to flash your bike if ya want. Just try to stay clear of the
neighborhood kids.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

whether you sign a guest book or buy drinks, or do anything else...its up to
you.
Makes no difference to me. But the answer to your question is, since you have
a delphi system, you can often get by without messing with the injection system
if you just change the pipes and sometimes even if you change the air cleaner
as well. If its a bit lean, get a Digital Fuel Optimizer or Power commander or
Race Tuner. In the long run it will probably serve you better then re-flashing
everytime you make a change. I'd try the mods first and if its lean, then pick
your poison. If you're a total geek on mechanical stuff, then maybe the dealer
reflash isn't such a bad idea, but try your combination first.

Enjoy the new bike.

It depends on the type of pipes and air filter used. Sometimes the cpu
will compensate some time it wont.

Ya know what, I read the OP wrong, for some reason I thought he included a
Stage I a/c too. Never mind. You're right, no flash required.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->
